It can be taught. Some people just have more natural talent for it than others, which explains why sometimes it can take one person a month to get to catas, and others half a year.

Dunno, I thought this forum would be best for this topic.... but trying to explain the method to pass a certain song its impossible... I think if they are talented and have rythme then it can be taught.

I must have a natural talent for it because after 3 weeks of playing I was beating out the 2 year veterans over in my town.

Also it kinda helps if you are really coordinated (I play the drums and that takes some coordination) Also if you are in or were in band that helps with the beats and stuff like that.

sure ddr can be taught but people that are learning ddr are better off just watching people play and ask them how they play it and then play it for themselves and graluatly learn it.

I don't really think that it can be taught exactly, but a person can help another person to get better.

I don't think it can be taught. Maybe some small things you can learn from other people, such as turning and whatnot.... but really its a matter of practice more than anything else.

I think its half and half... you need something to work with otherwise you cant teach someone how to be good.

DDR can be taught, but it can also get the learner confusing. How I started off was asking people tips, plus started out in Light mode, and did better. Now, I can do Standard, and trying to build up my skills in Heavy. Hopefully I can also do Oni mode, and become a legend one day.

The skills for some tech can be taught, especially the right-down-left smooth wave thingy... It all depends... Most of it is practice and hurrying up and going to maniac as soon as possible.

You're all right. It can be taught to an extent, tips can be given, such as not to play from center, use the flashing arrows, etc. however, much of the game relies on practice and coordination.

Bottom line. It can be half-taught

First, you have to be good at playing or know a lot about the game. Then tell people to step on the arrows when they reach the flashing outlines of the arrows at the top of the screen. Simple! E1.gif E15.gif
