MTV Music Generator 3: This is the Remix

I picked up the XBox version of this.

This is really neat. I love the ripping function which lets you sample parts of songs to merge in with the songs already in the game/application.

My only problems are that I can't find out how to make quarter, half and whole notes in the Melody creator part and how you can only use a certain 'set' of riffs, rhythms and basslines etc. from one genre. Like you can't take a melody from the Rap section and use it in a House song. Or at least I haven't figured it out.

One thing about Magix Music Maker PS2 I like is how it's all mixable. MG3 doesn't seem to work like that. But it's interface is 1000% times better than MMM IMO. Plus, remixing songs you are familiar with makes it alot more pleasureable than having to deal with generic "Ohhh yeah, babyies" and "I wanna rocks" that are in other loop based music apps.

For only $30 bucks, it's really neat. I think if people don't get it soon, they should surely get it when the price eventually drops to $20 or less months from now.
