Hi,
Any thoughts about what I might do about this problem:
I haven't used my DDR equipment in a long time (year??). I just tried it today and I found, as best as I can figure out, that unless I hit the mat arrow slightly before the monitor arrow hits, I get a bad rating. I tried using different mats and different games and the same thing happened. I'm wondering if it's a problem with the PS2, although there have been no other problems with it. I tried going into "sound options": "timing" and speeded it up and slowed it down and it didn't make a difference.
I'd love help with this
thanks so much,

So, when you consistently hit the steps early (or late) you get good scoring, but if you try to hit it on the beat it's off?

If this is a case, setting the timing under sound options should be the solution to your problem. If you have to hit a step LATE to get Perfects, then make the sound come out earlier, and vice-versa if you have to hit it early.

If you have switched to an HDTV since the last time you played over a year ago, this could be an issue of video lag. If you think this might be the problem, just do a search for HDTV lag on google and you'll see what it's all about and how you might be able to compensate for it.
