Ok , I live in Bulgaria and when I checked the locations list , I couldn't find any machines , but when going to the mall and passing through its arcade , I turned left and what did I see ? A DDR Machine . I went all "*_* Must.Play.DDR." . So the next time I visited the mall with a friend , we decided to play DDR together , although we were both first-timers .
The version was DDR SuperNOVA . We played on beginner and the song we chose was Honey Punch (Because I love Riyu Kosaka's voice xD).
As I mentioned above , we were both first-timers , so we got a lot of "Boo"s , but the game lasted approx 10 seconds . I don't know that much about DDR , but I think that it DOES depend on how accurate we are , but I still don't think that it should last this little .
My dad was quite furious , because when he went to Korea , he saw a lot of people making mistakes , but playing for a lot longer than us and the game in Bulgaria was about three times the normal DDR cost . (Here in Bulgaria most people try to get the most money out of you while doing nothing , practically stealing them disturb.gif )

So what I want to ask is how much it originally lasts and was supposed to ask . If you need the amount of "Boo"s - I got 25 and she got 20 (We're SO good , aren't we ? *sarcasm sarcasm* XD).

idk if novice is direclty affected by the life difficulty (it probably is thou). You said you got like 20 boos, and that sounds about right for a fail on Novice.

Yeah, I play on heavy and I believe about 8 boos in a row will completely deplete a full Dance Meter. So 20 or 25 isn't a big deal. But how many Amlost/Good/Great/Perfect did you get?

Next time, just make sure to play songs you can handle; if you got around 25 boos in 10 seconds, you weren't playing on the right difficulty. Also, make sure to update the listing with this location.

Beginner mode has a function that makes it so you can't fail for the first 2 songs or something like that, regardless of how poorly you're doing. That's probably what you saw in Korea, since everyone there just plays Pump It Up and don't know sh[i]t about 4-panel.

I think this changed with SuperNova. Our SN machine was harsh on noobs. I felt so sorry for 5 y/o who put their change in, chose the easiest difficulty, then fail on the first song. I went through the options and couldn't find anything that would help, except we did turn fail to the end of the song. At least this way the kids could at the very least play one full song, even if they suck.

I can't believe they changed the fail methods from Extreme. 2 fails on Beginner, 1 fail on Light and no fails on Standard or harder. This seemed like a really good method to me. Oh well, DDR has changed a lot in the last few years.

I don't really remember how many of the other things we got riiight.gif Sorry about the lack of such information . Thanks for the help .
I'm planning on buying DDR for PS2 , but I'm not sure which version I should get . Either way , I think it would be good fun anyways . That's what DDR's about even if you fail .
