I think one of the neatest things about ITG is the way it tells you - in real time - which way you're off on any step less than a Fantastic. It makes it much easier for me to get FECes and even SDE's, as when I get ONE excellent I know which way it's off and can correct before I even get another excellent, let alone a great. It's a shame DDR still doesn't have this, nor can I get StepMania to do it.

So I'm asking you: when you play ITG, can you pay attention to the dashes enough to respond appropriately? Do they improve your FA or are they too much of a distraction when you try to watch them?

The only time I find them incredibly useful is in Robotix.

Too many arrows to have time to notice, I just go by ear.

My timing sucks, so it definitely helps me, since I often can't tell if I'm late or early... especially if I'm playing a song that's sync'd late or early to begin with.

I just got into ITG recently, and I actually wasn't aware of this feature until now. I do play strictly on 1x so maybe I just can't notice it...
