The dance remix of our song "30 Lives" is going to be featured in 2008 DDR games!

We're pretty excited! biggrin.gif

TheMotionSick,

When you mention "...2008 DDR games...." can you tell us the title(s) your song will be featured in?

I am still waiting to find out, but we hope to know pretty soon. It looks like our music video for the song will likely also be included.

You can see it here:

I just listened to the song, it's good!

Question:
Do you make the steps or do the STEP DATA creators do?

it's not a bad song or anything, but it doesn't have much variation.
Little variation is bad for making charts.

Hmm... maybe I'm just spoiled from last year (with EternuS, Orange Sky, Until Forever, Synergy, etc) but these songs just don't feel like winners to me. Not that they're not enjoyable or anything, and congratulations to those who won, you did a great job - they just don't give off that "DDR" vibe to me.

And if it's any indication, it looks like Universe 3, or whatever is, will still be license focused like the last one (these sound like they could have been released on the radio). And that's not a bad thing, I absolutely love licenses, they just need to pick good ones. (I mean, He's the Greatest Dancer? Jungle Boogie? Handle Your Business? WTF?)

Wow, I weep for the music world when I see garbage like this. First of all, that music video was trash. Creepy dudes lusting after high school girls? So rad! And that part where you tried to be cool by referencing the Konami Code was great. Cuz, ya know, the Deftones didn't already do that on their last album. And the song "Anyone Else But You" by the Moldy Peaches didn't do it either. And a billion t-shirts haven't been doing it for years now.

But hey, let's talk about the song itself! Um...no dynamics, no progression, no feeling, no ANYTHING. It was limp and lifeless. I'm glad Konami picked your song to be in the next awful installment of DDR though. Seriously, congratulations. I wish I could garner fame for churning out bullshit. When I think about it, your terrible song is the perfect choice for a video game series that's being run into the ground by a corporation. The two just go hand in hand, yes?

And finally, was it really necessary to create an account and start a thread on here just to have some teenagers fellate you for winning a contest? Pathetic.

In b4 any attempted insults whatsoever. Scrubs.

Not big on the video.

The song itself isn't bad, but the addition of the Konami Code feels a little out of place. Also, I don't think this would work very well as a DDR song. Don't get me wrong, it's good enough that I would listen to it while driving, but like Reaper said, it just doesn't feel like "DDR material" to me.

Good song. Not necessarily the best for DDR, but still good.

I liked it. I didn't get the reference to '30 lives' until the code chant, but once I realized it I laughed. And with a chorus like that, of course Konami's gonna pick it.

I think it'll be enjoyable, probably a six or seven footer, which I have no problem with. I like having 'rest songs' for when I'm tired of all the crazy-difficult stuff they've been throwing at us lately.

It's a nice song, guys. Congratulations!
However, this type of music gurantees it'll be in a Universe 3, though. I highly doubt this will be in any version of the next proper DDR mix (whether it'll be called SN3 or something else). Since this music type isn't typical of proper DDR mix songlists, it's surely going to get slapped into Universe 3 or another home version.

Yes you are. Till the Lonely's Gone is really good, man! Very easily workable in DDR. Not in the typical genres seen dominating the proper DDR Mixes of 1st-SN2, but the song nonetheless works, especially for home mixes where the music is more diverse.
