So the MT-6 (http://www.mymybox.com/ddrmt6.html) has a 9-pin serial - PS2 connection..
I was thinking of buying a 9-pin serial - USB connection.
Would that work?
The MyMyBox Adaptor
The USB Adaptor
Same 9-pin thing.
If I don't get any answers, I'll have to test it when I save up money for a pad. |

It won't work. You'll need a converter.
This is because the info in that 9-pin is going to a PS2 controller, and unless you have ps2 controller drivers on your computer, it probably wouldn't work. Also, the 9 pins might be differently arranged for the ps2 and USB. Things like ground wires and data wires could be significantly messed up if you crossed them like that.
Go to stepmania.com and look to see what they say about USB adaptors. Some are very cheap (Such as the PS2 one on Dealextreme.com [$7.00 + free shipping]) |
