...Not sure how to make myself not sound completely stupid. But, i'm a little... 'afraid' of this song. I just played it, and now that's all I can thing about, and with the whole beeping thing and heartbeat and whole song... it's freaking me out. :<

Not sure this in the right topic.

And somehow, I cannot stop listening to it. DDDDD:

I agree. HVAM still scares the crap out of me. The hospital bed in the background adds more effect too.

Its just like how I cringe at discovery Health and the disturbing diseases yet I have to watch it.

I like the original healing vision by De-Sire. I like Angelic Mix even more because of the whole EKG machine sounds and such (like the hospital bed on the picture).

I know the feeling you're talking about. For example, a movie could be rated G, but the content in it can effect people personally. And just the words "Angelic Mix" aren't appetizing, you know what I mean? Just by the sound of those words, you really don't want to play it. This is the sort of topic I would create, only on a different subject matter. But yeah, I know exactly the feeling you're feeling, because I've been freaked out and disturbed by other things that are entertainment-related.

The first time I played Xanadu, at the little 'da' at the end, it flashed back to the background in a split second (that creepy girl with the glowy eyes in the black hood), and THAT freaked me out. erm.gif

So I can understand. Even now, I try not to play that song with the lights off. D:

I was a little afraid of the song when I first played it, too...but that just made me like it more. Now it's one of my favorite songs! (too bad I can't beat it on heavy...)

You know what song also kind of scared me? Paranoia Evolution, at the part with the sirens. I'm usually too focused on the streams there, so all I can here is the sirens and the sound of my feet hitting the pad.

I'm a lot more scared of all the spins in the Heavy chart than of HVAM itself. E15.gif

LOL. Who the heck made or decided on THAT background for Xanadu...

Definately the wierdest one I've seen, I can say that much.

You're afraid of my all-time favorite DDR song? *slaps you in the face*

Because I liked it so much, I had the opposite impression of HVAM in the beginning. I whored it out more times than a 10 cent hooker ever could on all difficulty modes, until I got used to playing Heavy and moved on to other songs. I don't play it as much as I used to, but it is still my favorite song to play...which is probably why I consistently do well on it.

EDIT:
Oh, and by the way, the song is somewhat of a narrative. Though I've probably mentioned this 3 or 4 times since I've joined this place, people still seem unaware.
Before the song, stepchart, and tempo speeds up on the first jump, there is a heartbeat. The moment the tempo increases afterwards, the heartbeat is gone and is replaced by a hospital beep that tracks heart rate. Someone is dying, so the song goes crazy. The beeps gradually get more rapid until the song completely stops mid-way. At the stop, the beep is just one seamless sound, so someone is dead. The song goes crazy again as the constant sound continues until the very end where it suddenly beeps again and the heartbeat returns. The patient is saved, and the music is calm.

Still scared?
