Im thinking about moving up to a metal pad because Ive begun to reach 9 footers and 10 footers. My softpad is just not cutting it anymore =/

I only want to spend around 200$ on a pad, so I was thinking that the Blade Metal Dancepad would be a great idea.

http://store.gameasylum.us/dadareionmed.html

Please, if you know any information about the performance of a Blade Metal pad, or if it has issues, inform me.

Does it break easily?
Are the arrows sensitive?
Is it accurate?
Is it significantly heavy?
Is it worth the 200$?----> If not, then what would be a good pad, or one you would suggest?

Thanks for all the help! biggrin.gif

They call it a "blade" but it's actually the TX 4000s. tx4000s are fairly good pads. For your skill level, it sounds like a good pad for you. It's fairly durable and the metal panels make the arrows un-crackable. From what I here it's sensitive enough. It weighs probably between 30-40 pounds. TX's are accurate enough for a homepad. One kinda bad thing about the tx pads are the sensor design. They just use a copper contact and foil on the bottom of each arrow panel. But it's really not that bad. to make it better, you can replace the foil with thin sheet metal. Oh yeah and don't be surprised if you have to solder a wire or two or order a new control box (control boxes malfunction alot) But overall, it's a good pad for the price. Also look on ebay. You'll probably find the same pad, still brand new for cheaper.

Yes don't ever use eBay. EVER. I've played on this pad and yeah they're not bad. There suprisingly sensitive. A few problems though, the screws tend to end up popping out after awhile, also not really a problem but annoying is that the arrow decals rub off kinda easy. It slips around easy to. I don't know how these are on carpet, so if you do get on you should make a plywood base. $200 is a little much though, I'd say it should be $120 at most. I would just build a stealth pad though.

lol if you catch it. O.o
