Why are there certain songs that do not use the song's original artist? For example, in Ultramix 3 the song "Virtual Insanity" is not sung by the original person. Does Konami save money by not using the original artist? Personally, I would much rather have the original artist performing the song than someone else.

Licensing can be ridiculously expensive depending on the artist. Their logic is either that, or there'll be a version that's more danceable than the former (see: Bus Stop).
