to put it simply. The part where it has a pause and then It has the rolls or whatever, that is where stepmania freezes and then shuts down. I don't really understand why, can nyone link me too a stepfile of ! that actually works?

Stepmania 3.9 and lower can't process Rolls. It's probably looking for a graphics pack that isn't there. To play a song with Rolls in it, either get ITG2PC or Stepmania 4.0.

QFE, 3.95 is EXACTLY the same as 3.9, except for a few tweaks and changes, which include the ability to use rolls.

If it's the exact same except for "a few tweaks," then try using themes from 3.9 on it, or the 3d noteskins that work with 3.95 on 3.9. Not to mention online play and more graphical abilities. It's pretty much halfway between 3.9 and 4.0.

QFE, 3.95 is EXACTLY the same ITG2 AC, except for a few tweaks and changes, which include the Theme and hax prevention.
and thus, rolls work in any version of CVS. do remember that if a noteskin doesn't have rolls supported in it, it will generate a funky colored hold note, however will function exactly the same as a roll that shows up properly.

yea, the default theme from 3.9 to 3.95 hardly changed, if at all. and 3.9 vs 3.95 themes aren't cross compatible, due to the grading system being built into the theme metrics, among MANY other differences i don't know about.

i'd often wondered about that as well. Perfect count gradings didnt show in the default songwheel, despite the DP total carrying over.

E19.gif oh well.
