|
|
I have a BNS DX Xtreme Fusion Foam Pad, and recently received the new Trio Linker Plus II from Playasia.com.
I installed the drivers, hooked up the pad, and everything seems to work fine... EXCEPT, it has the standard axis problem where it's acting like the arrows are on a joystick (can't press down+up or left+right simultaneously).
How do I fix this in the settings dialogue?
Control Panel -> Game Controllers -> EMS TrioLinker Plus II -> Properties.
I have it set to Joypad and "PS1 Dance Pad". The nice graphic they have maps correctly to the physical pad, and all the buttons are correct... except for the exact same problem above!
Please help! This is the fourth adapter I've tried! Very aggravating. |

Jave it JUST set to Dance Pad, not Joystick AND Dance Pad.... unless I misunderstood the problem. _________________

Travelsonic -- Thanks for the reply! I don't think that's a possibility. It's a little confusing, check out this screenshots.
Here's me holding down two simultaneous buttons (O and Left). No problems. Both "highlight" as triggered in the control panel:
Here's the axis problem. In this shot, I'm holding down Up and Down, but you can see that only one registers:
Here's the second control panel screen, just as an FYI:
Are there any other TrioLinker owners out there? What do your settings say? Do you experience the same behavior in the control panel? Or does it actually let you register Up+Down or Left+Right at the same time?[/img] |

In reference to the first picture, I presume you've tried it with Joy2Key version on and re-mapping Stepmania?
Also, this is officially supposed to go in the PC Simulators etc forum but I'm not going to stop you from getting an answer since you've got it out here. |

I've tried that, too. It works well! I mean, I can open a text document and type using my feet... but it still has the same problem. It won't register two of the arrowpad buttons simultaneously.
I think it's just adding a translation layer on top of the signals that convert them to keystrokes. Unfortunately, it doesn't solve the underlying issue...
Any ideas? Please help! This is "supposed" to be the BEST PAD with the BEST CONVERTER! Why is it so hard to get this stuff working? I've been trying for four months now... just to play Stepmania. Argh. |
