Hey everyone.
I just got off school and went back to playing DDR again.
I have a Dance Pad Pro , like one you can get at any gaming store. 30 bucks, foam core you put together, put it inside and play.

i brought the pads back out today for the first time in weeks. as i kept playing the arrows became less and less sensitive. i play 5-8 step song anywhere from light to heavy, i don't stomp much i think, and i play for about 3 hours any time i bring out the pads.

i figured out the problem, sort of. as i continue playing, if i am hitting the right or left arrow, the up or down arrows don't respond. if i am hitting the down or up arrows, the right and left ones don't respond. but, if i hit them seperately they are fine. the more i play in one session, the more often this happens.

i have already gone through two pads in the past that were even more expensive than these ones. i am just wondering, am i just supposed to expect these pads to break down after , oh , 4 months of use and get new ones, or is there a better option out there? i just want some pads that will last me a few years without me having to constantly mod/buy new ones.

Game store bought pads don't last long and it seems you play alot, so It might just be the pad getting worn. I say rip out the controller and build one or if you have the $ get a BS or a CF. Just don't buy a TX/anything from eBay.

haha. my previous two pads were TX-1000's from Ebay. I plan on sheet metal modding one of them and soldering the other , because they are both broken (my fault i think).

Isn't it cheaper to mod? What's the most effective mod for a foam pad?
