Either you weigh a ton and that's why the house moves, or you are playing REALLY enthusiastically. o__O;

Try not to move so much..

What he means is you should adjust to a playing style that minimizes body movement (i.e. flat-footing, staying close to the center).

I've been in houses like this, regardless of weight the house (Floor) moves. I think it's because your house is elevated over something.. like empty space, or it was heightened for flood reasons?

When your foot lands flat on the pad, as opposed to playing on your toes.

I play flat footed, and the room shakes when I play (but it's the room over my garage, so it usually doesn't bother everyone else in the house). As far as I know, there isn't anything you can do about it.

I guess you can try tunes with less air, that'll save some movement.

For me, playing flat footed just makes even more noise and shakes the floor even more. blink.gif I just suggest playing on your toes, or if you're really feeling up to it, you could buy a soft foam ignition pad.

We live in an apartment building so I got those big foam pieces for gyms at lowes and doubled them up two together, tied them together with rubber bands. Neighbors are no longer complaining. E1.gif

Major helpful tip:

Look for some foamy house slippers, like "Happy Feet". Something that won't fly off of your feet, but are cushy enough to pad your impact. This will have many benefits, including minimizing impact to your floor *and your heels*, giving you a good range of pad contact (and keeping them from getting torn up).

You might also consider putting 8x8-inch (20x20 cm?) cardboard squares UNDER the arrows, so you know when you're making contact and when to adjust. This also helps reduce involuntary presses of X/O/[]//\, as well.

Try moving your whole set to the basement, if you can.

thats some good advice, yea like i said, im going to move to the fusion foam pad from buynshop. if it doesnt really help ill try the foam thing from lowes. that sounds like a good solution. and i usually play on toes, i can move quicker. i have supernova for ps2 and expert is FREAKIN tough... i cant complete any of them. its mostly the weird offset ones. i see a mess of arrows and cant discern what to do! so i try to move really fast and thats when it gets thumping

Wait, just the arrows? That's a bad idea, because you could fall off the arrows.

WHAT?! o.O

I'm not talking 8" *THICK*, here. If -you- can fall off of those, I'd like a vid/pic or something! laugh.gif

It's really just to distinguish when you're hitting the arrows (elevated surface) and when you're drifting away from them (you'll feel the edges). Much like arcade pads, but inside-out. Plus, if the corners/middle were elevated instead, you'd hit those MORE often, and the arrows LESS!

I know that, it's just that the problem with raised arrows is that you can't flatfoot effectively.
