I'd really like one. The bundled Universe soft pad isn't doing the job for harder songs. _________________

Just made my control box today for the cobalt flux. I've never soldered or anything before, but I gave it a try and it came out well. No pad misses or anything. You have to take apart the mat that came with Universe, but if you follow the directions on Sinstar's website you can make a working cobalt flux 360 control box without too much effort. |

I'm going to attempt to do it with a wired controller. I would use my Universe mat, but, the point is to make it work with my Mac. I'm tired of my PC crashing or exiting StepMania in the middle of the game. I have drivers for the wired controller but not the dance mat. _________________

Can anyone confirm this? If it's true then I'll just scrap my Universe mat, it's finally gone fritters today. _________________

btw, this won't be happening soon, but I do have 360 pads on my to-do list. So that should become another option at some point.
And we would be more than happy to make a 360 control box compatible with a DTG pad you already own (speaking hypothetically; nobody owns a DTG pad at the moment, except for me, sort of), or any other pad that you can supply us a wiring scematic for. _________________

Really the reason I don't want to scrap the Universe mat in the first place because I think this could turn into one of those projects that I don't finish. It's not entirely broken yet, but, the buttons are definitely losing sensitivity and will sometimes activate even if I'm not touching them. _________________

Ive heard rumors that cobalt flux has 360 support in their new control boxes.
Not quite sure if the rumors are true, you probably dont want to wait 2+ months for a flux, also... |
