So, do you think they're going to release some kind of "special edition", come 2008? Do you think they're going to have some major expo-like party going on? What do -you- think they will (or should!) do?

Personally, I'd *LOVE* a mix filled to the gills with extended remixes and medley tracks, as a testament to the numerous iterations that DDR has had over the years. And of course, a blowout DDRfest on it's release date to further promote it, with some major BEMANI talent (both artists -and- players alike) playing live! And preferably nearby!

They might do something special, but probably not go that far.

I'd like to see something like Extreme JP come out for the Wii. E13.gif

But that's just me.

I think they will sell a special edition of the game with all the songs and extra songs for all the systems, but the game boxes will contain anthrax, so when you open it you will die. As for the survivors a bunny will come out and eat your throat out.

My two cents. maybe 3

I think they will announce on the anniversery that in 5 years they will sign a deal with McDonalds and finally give us the unlock codes for online songs on SN Ps2. Or maybe they will just tell us "We gave you memories, and now you expect us to give you 5 more songs, way too much work man." I'm assuming the latter.... erm.gif

I'd like them to start making ITG style (pressure sensors) pads, and put some hard shit in the arcade versions. Or release ITG3. Neither's going to happen.

Pump Pro is more or less ITG3.

If they do a whole lot for the next mix, it won't be done by the date of the 10th anniversary. Or maybe it will be, but they'll still be fixing errors.

By the looks of it, they're not even trying to change.

Well, the very -point- of starting this thread NOW is because I'm pretty sure that development FOR it should be BEGINNING. Just a ballpark figure.

And aren't you a bunch of half-full glasses? -.-'

Kyle Ward has pretty much moved on to 5-panel (although he didn't have much of a choice), and Konami would look dumb trying to imitate his style.

Well, I don't think it's necessarily a -bad- move, per se. Pump has always needed some more techno-influence and difficulty/fun in it's stepchart execution, and PiU's "consistency" would fit better with ITG's chart design than ITG itself did. Also, ITG could use more of the musical influence/variance and -fun- chart design that Banya/Andimaro could provide. Together, they COULD make something fantastic, though not very controller-friendly.

Dodging minefield Expert streams with 5 panels? YEEOUCH.

Kyle uses mines a bit more sparingly now.
