Remember that the "professional" gamer females aren't always the best out there. They may actually be hired based on looks instead of skill (I don't know or really care), but that doesn't change the fact that there actually are girls that rock at video games.

Oh, and I didn't really enjoy seeing half nude women posing with controllers covering their nipples....

I think female gamers are taken seriously in a sense. I say in a sense because from my expirience the majority of female players (ddr in peticular) are still in middle or elementry school. But that's just *MY* (as in MY OWN) observation. Notice how I point out that this is just what I as an individual has seen. My goal is to avoid unnecessary questions about where I stand on female gamers and other psuedocontraversal debates.

Ya see, while the whole "Female gamer" thing IS just about what the guy said, you'll find there are professional skill level female gamers who aren't as noticed because they draw attention to their skillz, not their plumbing. So, everyone treats them as one of the guys, yknow? then you get these modelling chicks who don't even know where the start button is, who get kudos for playing the game horribly, but while naked...so really, in the end, there are two types of female gamers to consider.
