well my parents are saying i can get a solo arcade pad for my birthday, and that me and my grandfather can wire it to work with the ps2... but can anyone give me instructions on how to do so? if you dont know how to do it exactly, a brief overview will be just fine. thanks

For starters, what the balls, man. Your parents own.
Probably the most basic way to do it would be to just wire all the sensors to the PS2 controller. I don't know how you'd do it through the I/O board or anything. _________________

i guess since your not gona open up the pad itself just mix and match the wires with the sensors on the ps2 controller. i guess theres gona be like 7 wires coming out of the pad. if its like the homemade pads then first find the ground wire and then rearrange the rest until ther in the right order. upright and upleft shouldnt rely matter so just wire one to x and the other to o.
your probly gona have to step on the buttons while your testing for all arrows since you cant do wire to wire testing |

Even if it's not the complete pad, you can still use it's base + panels to make a half-homepad. you know, make your own sensors |

Yeah. Matrix sensors would work pretty well in one. They'd probably outlast arcade sensors too. _________________
