|
|
So I deided to download 3.95 and SMOnline today. Well that was a pain in the neck. I have made two accounts and could not get either of them to work. I went through the Getting Started section on the site and did everything it said to do.
When I try to log on, I type it my password but it always said invalid. I never got an activation e-mail for either account, and so I tried to get a new one sent but it would always say invalid username when I entered my info.
What is going on here? _________________

Try and wait for the activation e-mail. Just to make sure, you registered with the SMOnline forums?
The new SMO is completely fucktarded, IMO. The older version (post 3.95) was hella better, more user friendly and looked a lot better too. _________________

I think so too I will not even play 4.0
Stepmania Online wrote: | All user accounts must be activated in order to play on the SMO game server. If your account has not been activated, you can request an activation e-mail from the forum login page.
The reactivation page can also be found here.
If you have a problem receiving the activation e-mail please send an e-mail to [email protected], including your username. |
I'd say send the email if you cannot get your activation email because its worked fine for me. _________________

Oh, I had signed up on the Wiki, not the Forums. The site is so confusing I had no idea what to do. But I have 3.96 CVS, not 4.
Thanks for the help guys. I feel like an idiot now though, lol.
Okay, well now that we have this issue solved...when I was trying to get my name to work yesterday, I messed around with the server name and now I cannot get the server it tells you to go to in the Getting Started to work at all. What do I do now? _________________

Click on the "Play SMOnline" shortcut that should be on your desktop. _________________

Yeaa. There are 2 different versions of SM, one for general use and one for only online use. It starts up like the regular version, choose your mode and whatnot, then it says "SMOnline" in the backround. Then you choose your profile and enter your password. _________________

He means there are two shortcuts in 3.95: One for regular play and one for online play. _________________
