Before SuperNova was even thought of, there was a rumor about a song called Max to the XXXimum that went from 400-200-100-400 bpm or somewhat in that order. It is said that it was taken out because of difficulty and that is why The Legend of Max sounds so much diffrent because they had to throw something together in a hurry. Just about a month ago we found out about a new arcade game for DDR called SuperNova. It has a song on it called Fascination MaxX thats bpm goes 400-200-100-400 or somthing in that order. Do you think the two songs might have a relationship in terms of bpm? Or do you think its just a weird coincidence, or mabey its just im stupid and it might be a big possibility for the 2 songs to have the same exact bpm.

I've heard about this rumor on GameFAQ. I think there might be a connection to Fasination Maxx....

…Before 8th Mix/Extreme was released, the MAX song planned for it was
supposedly called "MAX to the XXXimum", by Beta (who is, of course, also
Naoki). This song was to be the first real 11-foot song, and at 400 bpm, it
certainly earned every foot. The tempo changes were:
400-Freeze-400-200-100-Freeze-400. After its completion, the song turned out to be too hard. People believe it was cut down and edited to 333 bpm, and became The Legend of MAX. Only Naoki and some other people at Konami really know the truth behind that one, though.

I've heard Max to the XXXimum (or at least a 400BPM Max made to sound like it) and its actually a medley of Max300, MaxX Unlimited, and Legend of Max.

I do not know what Fascination MaxX sounds like, but if it sounds like the song I've heard, then I would believe that we are dancing Max to the XXXimum when we play Fascination MaxX

I'm probably wrong so don't quote me

Having downloaded and played Max to the XXXimum on StepMania (available from BemaniStyle), BPM was 400-200-100-Freeze-400-Freeze-400. It did have the LoM melody, but it wasn't totally like the other two; there was a melody in XXXimum that I think they should bring back, mostly when the steps are sort of like Unlimited, and going into the slowdowns. This melody is accentuated in DM Ashura's "Maxx Resurexxion".

If Fascination Maxx were exactly like Max to the XXXimum, that would be AWESOME!

There was a page, made up of what was seemingly false names for the songs that were slated to be in DDR Extreme. Such as Insertion (trance mix), which was more than likely what L'amour et la Liberte turned out to be. The Max to the XXXimum song was originally made by Taren I believe, as I do have the original file he made for it as well.

But there was never an actual song made by Naoki for DDR named Max to the XXXimum.

Phrek, you absolutely sure there was no Max to the XXXimum? Try asking Meada-san himself. Created by Beta, which is, of course, Naoki Meada.

Number one, where else has he used the alias Beta?

Number two, unless there's a version I haven't heard then no he did not create it.

Next you are going to tell me D2R K.O.G. G3 mix really exists, right?

So there was a Max to the XXXimum then, Phrekwenci? Just not for DDR though?

Any song could be made, to sound like the maxes put together and then titled Max to the XXXimum with the artist Beta. Hell *I* could be Beta.

Your Fascination MaxX link does not work. MAX to the XXXimum sounds awesome, but it is like a blunt megamix of the three maxes.

The song has been out for almost 3 years. If it was really going to go in DDR, it would have been there by now.

You guys are kidding me right. Here's maybe I can use this to explain:

HEY OMG EXTREME II IN THE ARCADE! IT'S REAL BECAUSE KONAMI MADE IT!No, *I* made it. The marquee doesn't even exist outside of Photoshop.

Okay guys, look.

Sometimes people make fan mixes. This has been going on forever. MaxX Resurrexxion, NeoMax, Max Forever, ParanoiaMaxx, Afronoia, R8U, Kick Your A, AAA, dozens of unofficial Paranoia remixes (Evil, Epic, Over, Babble, Catholic, Red, Millennium, etc.). XXXimum is not official. Not only is it not in DDR, it's not in ANY Bemani game.

Fascination MaxX, however, is very much official.

Supernova Media.

The last video is F.MaxX being cleared. Watch the video, listen to the song.

As for the bpms corresponding? Well, it's kind of like simultaneous orgasms...coincidence.

Is there seriously a Paranoia Catholic out there? Because that would be interesting to hear.
