A plexiglass mod for a softpad?
Unless I'm not understanding correctly, you can't do it. |

I think he's looking more for the raised panels, which are tricky with softpads.
Anyway, what you have to do if you want it done right is cut the connection for the corner buttons, open up the pad, remove the foam that seperates the buttons under the center and diagonals (you can also take advantage of this time to replace the foam seperators under the directional arrows with something decent, instead of that poopy that never reacts when you want it to and always reacts when you don't), then, press a 10.6" square board (or plexi, or lexan; whatever you want) about 1/4" thick down on the center of the pad and make sure that it's not pushing down any of the directional arrows, then you use a staple gun, nail gun, or if you don't have either of those, a hammer and some nails, to secure it through the pad onto the baseboard that, if you should have already modded your softpads to by now. Repeat this process with the 4 diagonals, AND REMEMBER TO MAKE SURE NONE OF THE DIRECTIONAL ARROWS ARE BEING PRESSED TOGETHER BY THE STATIONARY PANELS. If you do it right, you've made yourself a fuggin' tight softpad.
If you still want use of your X, O, A (tri), and [] (square) buttons, try wiring them to a PS2 controller; be creative, but it's not like you need them in order to play. (start, select, and Directional arrows are all you need) _________________
