I modded my konami softpad with a piece of wood. i wanted to know if putting pieces of lexan on the arrows will help at all and allow me to play with shoes?

I seriously doubt it. If you could get the lexan to stay on the modded softpad somehow (I seriously don't get how you'd go about doing this), I doubt your pad would be that sensitive, and the sensors in the pad would probably shift.

IF, IF it did work, the foam that makes the sensors work in soft pads would wear out alot faster because of the added weight (and thats only if it didnt hit itself.

just buy or build a metal pad if you want to play with shoes, its about the only way to do it. (or SERIOUS modding with a softpad)

instead of lexan, just use one of those plastic mats to cover the entire pad

Yeah use the hardwood floor runners. It's probably the best option that you have if you want your pad to remain working for the longest amount of time that it can last. Your mod seems like it would wear the hell out of the pad.

I was trying things out, I put two pieces of floor tile on each arrow and was able to play with shoes. Im just using this until i have enough to buy to buy a metal pad or have time to build one.

I honestly have no idea what you're doing. Could you by any chance post a picture? I'm curious as to what this thing looks like now. biggrin.gif
