Hey guys. I was going to get a Red Octane Ignition 3.0 pad but I'm really glad I read this site. I'm now looking at the BlueShark Deluxe 2006 models.

Price: 79.99
Ebay: 2 for 79.99

These are actually going on ebay 2 for the price of 1... Not bad. I need some user experiences posted for this pad.

And should this pad be modded? I'm really liking the mod using the hardwood laminate and particle board but would a pad with foam inserts be appropriate for this mod? I want to be able to slide.

Thanks guys.

oh by the way this pads the shiz..... its really responsive (only a few misses) and it doesnt move too much, way less than ignition 3.0 - oh yeah, you can slide on it. buy it. IF you cant get a cf, which im saving up for

no problem - umm i think ive had it for about a month now... i play on it daily and it holds up no problem to songs like sakura, cartoon heroes, A, paranoi survivor (all on heavy) and it doesnt move much either. the best is still the cobalt flux (which i want soooo bad!) but this is a very good alternitive. much better than that ignition 3.0 crap in my experiance

Ignition 3.0 is crap? blueshark deluxe pad 2006 is better? hmmmmmm

how can you compare with ignitoin 3.0 and blueshark deluxe pad 2006?
many people said, RO Ignition pad 3.0 is the best. can you compare these two pads?

Who is saying Ignition 3.0 is the best pad (besides Red Octane company)? The Ignitions do seem to be crap. The 3.0 and 2.5 not version 2.0 - it was the best. Just read the thread on the RedOctane Ignition 3.0. You'll see what people are saying.

I've never used this pad so I don't know if it is better but anything that doesn't break in 2 weeks is better than the ignition probably.

The Ignition 3.0 is the worst non-metal dance pad I've ever used. It's clearly not worth $100 (or the $80 most retail stores now sell it for).

The value dance pad with insert form is blueshark deluxe pad 2006. As many people already knowRO Ignition is on sale for $79.99 and Blueshark deluxe pad is on sale for $59.99. it does not move much compare to other pads. Even though the best value pad right now is the RO ITG Pad which is on sale for $19.99. With RO ITG Pad, you should modify it with plywood. If you do not like the modifying the dance pad, get blueshark deluxe pad. This is the best.

Well, I bought a pair of these on Ebay, and they look and feel excellent. Unfortunately, they're 100% nonresponsive. Like, no matter what I do, the PS2 seems to have no idea I'm pressing any buttons. Is there something obvious I am missing? Like, do I have to plug in a hand controller to go through the menus (on DDRExtreme 2) before I plug in the dance pads? Or are these new pads only compatible with newer PS2 systems (I have an old, old one)? This is my first set of dance pads and any advice would be really, really appreciated. They have a return policy but I already paid $25 to ship them once, by the time I do it again to return them and only maybe receive a working set in return, I will have spent way too much money on these. Thanks.

If I were you, I would contact your ebay seller first or mymybox directly.

Thanks, I've done that. I can return them, but I was just hoping that I was overlooking something obvious that would make them work. But I guess a defective pad is what it is.

In my opinion, Blueshark deluxe pad and DX Xtreme Ignition is about the same. you can only get DX Extreme Ignitoin on Buynshop.com for $48.95 + shipping, but you can get Blueshakr deluxe pad from ebay around $50.00 shipped.

buy blueshark from ebay. it is cheaper and the quality is about the same.

go to ebay.com and type blueshark pad.

This pad has the same material as redoctane ignition 3.0 . I do not have EMS USB2 adapter so I am not sure whether this pad will work with the EMS USB2 adapter. if you want to play Stepmania, you need to get a Super Dual Box Pro.
