Even though i am pretty noobish player, i want to build my own pad. I don't play in the arcade, but do enjoy the game at home. i have a really crappy softpad at home right now, that barely works.
Are there any guides on how to rip those up and use it for parts for a homebuilt pad? I've looked at the tutorials, and i am not thrilled about using screws for contacts. |

Well, I don't think you can use softpad sensors for a hard pad. About the only thing you will be able to use would be the control box, or that little hard plastic thing at the top of pad, and the cord that goes from the box to your game system. So when/if you cut apart your pad, just pull that off and set it aside. For the rest of the items you need, you're going to have to buy them or make them (ie: sensors, arrows).
I'm not the person to ask about that though, as I have never built a pad. I'm sure plenty of people can tell you where to go from there though. Good luck! _________________

well, i am not expecting much
i have an xbox, i know most people build it for a PS2 or the PC
I think i would like to able to eventually make it PC compatible.
I do like the idea of not having to buy a controller, and just reuse the cable. Just wondering if anyone has done that? |
