On the list of Japanese release titles, it lists a Music Simulation Game from Konami sometime next year. Anyone want to start guessing what it is? Personally I think it will be DDR only because of this interview:
http://wii.ign.com/articles/731/731741p1.html
It specifically states that the controller attachment port could be used for things like dance pads. What is nice is that the price could be much lower, since the actual hardware would be separate from the pad itself. What is bad is that the batteries would be quickly drained. |

notice how much support wii is getting from konami....hmmm....
my guess still stands that PNM 14 will be on wii and feature the mario songs from a PNM 13.
and then i also expect the whole konami music game line to be made EXCLUSIVELY for wii by 2008. maybe next year it will be on PS2 and wii, but in 2008 i expect them to drop PS2 and stick with wii.
if i see any japanese PS3 release schedule type thing and a lack of any "Music simulation game" on the list then im pretty sure we can be safe to say konami is jumping on the nintendo boat.

THANK JESUS! Now i can go to bed safely knowing i wont have to do risky mods in order to play my music games on wii. Unless konami wants to be a big old bumhole and not make it region free....if thats the case, im gonna get a japanese wii so i can play all the pop'n music and smash bros brawl i want.
i always find the way. _________________

Its looking like it could be something completely new. I strongly doubt that Konami would move their Pop'N or GF/DM franchises over. I'm betting on a new DDR, personally.

I wasn't asking if it was DrumMania.. more of questioning my own guess. I guess the question mark was unnecessary.. but it sounded a certain way in my head when I posted... oh well, doesn't matter.
Anyways, reason I think maybe DrumMania is because they always show clips of some guy playing drums. |

That's not Taiko Drum Master. It's Ennichi no Tatsujin. Taiko Drum Master is "Taiko no Tatsujin". It will likely have TNT gameplay, but it looks to be broader, basically having gameplay oriented around festival activities in addition to taiko drumming.
And as you said, Ennichi no Tatsujin is a Namco game, and Wii Music Orchestra is a Nintendo game. It looks so far like the Konami game is 100% in-house. _________________

If they do a DDR game, they might just use the (barely) existing GameCube DDR pads. _________________

Dance Factory isn't a music game, son...
...it's a learning disability. _________________
