I recently bought some blue PS2 to USB adapter from Ebay.

This one.

Its great if I wanna play PC games with my PlayStation controller, but for StepMania, it kinda sucks. With the PS controller everything is responsive and I can do really good, but its alot worse with a dancepad. I've tested it with three pads. A GameStop softpad, a DDR GAME softpad and an Intec (yuck) softpad. They all show the same results: Slow, unresponsive controls.

Is it fixable, or did I but cheap crappy plastic?

The box even said: "DDR dancing controller is compatible." So I have a feeling I'm doing something wrong.

Any suggestions?

Thanks.

Yep; that was the problem with my ignition 3.0 when I tested it with this {since it seemed more responsive using ps2>usb}.

I have this exact same ps2 to usb controller but I'm unaware of how to fix your problem. It's probably not the pad nor the adapter's fault, just the way it's configured. =S

Looks like a Dijong.
I'm in the same boat. frown.gif

I bought one that seemed pretty generic, but it turned out to be by Dijong, one of the crappiest gaming accesory companies out there. T_T
It doesn't have a dance pad code.
I'm gonna see if I can sell mine to someone who has a PS emulator on their compy for $6 and then just buy one from a more trustworthy site, or even *gasp* a store.
