So I'm doing this DDR Argument/Research Essay. I'm trying to find a web site that shows valid research studies that proves DDR help people(kids and/or adults) lose weight. Anyone got links for that? I tried googling them, but I couldn't find any. I read somewhere that they did lots of studies on it. I'm horrible at searching for evidence. That's why I need your help. Thanks a lot everyone. =) _________________

It's physical exercise, it makes you sweat and grow muscle. www.getupmove.com has many claims but probably no official scientific studies.
Also, DDR can be used to help with ADD and ADHD, making kids more alert and attentive (someone researched it here IIRC). _________________

Excellent.
I'm considering this for a speech topic, does the general public think this is unwise? _________________

Yes. For an essay that won't be something you're sharing with the class, great, but for a speech, not so good. Most teens don't think DDR is cool, and although I'm guessing you're not trying to win a popularity contest, it's still probably not going to be so hot of a topic with your classmates. |

Thanks FLCL, I'll look up ADD and ADHD with DDR too. I found a lot of sources saying 765 public schools have DDR along with a fitness centers called 24-hour Fitness located in Mid and West Regions have DDR for kids and adults also.
Still no luck on studies though. Maybe surveys work on Research paper? _________________

I read a story somewhere (sorry, I forgot the source) that they used DDR in ESE classes, and behavour as well as grades skyrocketed when DDR was used as an incentive. _________________

I use DDR to lose some weight. It helps slowly (but that's because I dont play more than 6 bucks top in a day.)
But it did give me some monster calves! I have really nice muscle now on the back of my legs. _________________

I didn't do the research, but I made a ddr club at school based on that study (/convinced someone using that study). If you cant find I'll give you a hand with that. |

I actually found a site called healthology.com that mentions ADD and ADHD using DDR to treat it. DDR is the most effective in treating those illnesses more than any other games. _________________
