A friend and I have proposed and are going to be teaching a DDR class at the rec center of our local park district. It will be focused toward beginners with the idea of keeping kids in shape. We want to get our hands on some of these (http://www.cobaltflux.com/commercial/products/practicepads.html) for use in the class, but there's no price on the website. I'm assuming this means I'll have to buy them in bulk or they're expensive or something... Anyone know anything about them, or another place I could get something similar? or should I just try to make my own? Any help would be greatly appreciated. E1.gif

Just make your own. It will probably be a lot cheaper and quicker than waiting for those to ship.
Or, just take some chalk and draw it on the ground.

I thought about something like that. Depending on the class size, you could also have "field trips" to the closest arcade, while the rec center is used for the more technical teachings of the game.

If you're teaching beginners, just learning the basics on a soft pad is fine. Buy a couple pads from Best Buy or some other retail store so they get used to the game. Maybe the trip to the arcade could be homework? Just throwing out suggestions.

Making a pad can take a while if you don't know what you're doing, but the end result is nice.

This hopefully may be some help, or you can buy it wholesale.
There's many options on shipping, but it gets pricy.

I found that site to be very effective. There are many other combinations.

Wow, I wish my town would do this.
