Ok I've passed an 11 but my scores are horrible. My scores on Charlene ex is around 63%, D-Code with 81%, Fleadh Uncut with 78% and 87% on Rom-eo and Juli8. I want to get it so I can atleast star 10's and 11's. Does that mean I have to go back to doing 7's and 8's? I was thinking I was going to try staring 2 7s then 2 8s then 2 9s and keep going. Should I try this or something else?

Get used to the timing, and practice, practice, practice.

Thats the only good advice anyone can give. You can go about practice all how you want. Play a lot of 7s and 8s to score higher, or just drill on the 9s and 10s that you can pass until you just start doing better at faster and harder steps. Any practice will basically make you better (within the bounds of common sense).

Play flat footed and try to hit hard enough so that you can hear your feet hit the pad.

This helps more than you think.

Oh yeah, and just beat like every song on Hard mode like twice (Except Pandy lol). Once youre done with that, I almost guarantee your FA will be noticeably better. I couldn't * Expert songs until I whored Hard (I know it sounds backwards)

Practice stuff on hard (6-9 footers), preferably around the BPM range of 130-150.

Also, difficulty doesn't always say how easy it is to FA something. For example, I have a 97 on Charlene and a 98 on Tribal Style Expert, but I only have a 92 on On a Day Like Today.

Get a better mat - a Cobalt Flux, not the soft Ignition mat that I believe you own, based on a video of you playing My Favourite Game. Also build up your endurance and leg strength to extreme levels so you can focus on scoring higher on harder songs rather than struggle to pass them. Try running long distances to do so, as it gives your legs an athletic task without having to worry about failing songs you can't do very well.

That too. I remember PAing DDR at the arcade, getting SDGs and such, but only playing hard songs at home with a non-metal pad, because I couldn't PA on it.

You can't expect to score well on songs that you just started recently passing. Strength and stamina plays a very big role in FA in that you need to have precise control over your legs at all time to score well. You aren't gonna get a good score if youre just spazzing all over the pad trying to hit enough notes and retain enough stamina to pass on a really hard song.

In other words, yes, for now go back to 7's and 8's if you wanna improve scores. Meanwhile, keep passing those 11's, and eventually 12's, but don't expect good scores.... expect your stamina and leg strength to improve, which in conjunction with FA practice on easy songs will improve your FA on harder songs.

Well, you're right that focusing on easier songs will most certainly help improve scores and a bit of indurance. However, the harder songs in ITG are extremely cruel with your stamina and simply playing lots of 7's and 8's isn't going to give you the feel of how much endurance you'll need to handle 11 footers. Running isn't ITG, but can still quickly help you prepare for the toughest songs in ITG. I just ran 1.5 miles on my treadmill and boy do I feel tired, much more tired than I would even after passing songs like Hardcore of the North. If you get used to running, you'll strengthen your legs and be more suited for moving your feet fast enough to play 10's, 11's, and 12's because of your significantly improved stamina.

Yes I know. I'm getting rid of my Ignition soon. Hopefully, get a Cobalt Flux soon.

Like everyone else said. Keep practicing 6-9's..occasional 10's.
Just because you passed an 11 doesn't mean you're ready for it(I've learned this the hard way). Playing Hard mode will increase your scores a lot along with stamina if you play for long periods of time. Also, like someone else said 1 or 2 plays is not enough.. This is why I love that Beatmania shows you how many times you've played a song.

Practice, Practice, Practice x1000

Can never get enough of this ^

Oh and Ignition pads...I have one. It's definitely a good way to build stamina but it does terrible things to my timing. Up to you, though.

Seriously.
