by: Jord & Sifu98 from DDRNL (Dance Dance Revulution Netherlands

This is the TX1000/TX2000 modguide, this is very useful when you just bought one, cause it helps to keep your arrows whole.
Click on the picture to enlarge E13.gif

This is the TX2000 in the box, its the same with the TX1000 only there is TX1000 on the box.

Opening the box.

Getting the dancepad and the trickbar out of the box.

Control box of the TX-series.

The pad with all the (blue) plastic on it.

Unscrew the middle screws of the TX1000/TX2000 and get the arrow out. Then you see this. When the little white block is NOT in the little hole then you have a very big chance of breaking an arrow.

This is the way how the little block should be, in the little drilled hole. If you can't see/feel it then you can lift the soft thingy up E10.gif and look/feel where it is.

This is the standard alliminium strip under the arrow which make connection to the pad. This can be replaced by for example a cupper strip which imporves the sensitivity of the pad.

This is a cupper strip which is put under the arrow.

This is the cupper strip in the wrapping.

This the arrow with the cupper strip on it, its cut into 2 small pieces.

This is the unwrapped, finished pad !

Of another angle E10.gif

I hope that you find this guide useful and the TX2000 is a GOOD pad (in Europe E10.gif).

Hey! Thanks for the instructions, I ordered a TX-1000 off ebay the other day and it should be coming any day now. Thanks for pointing out the plastic box not being in the right place- I'll make sure to do that before I step on the pad. Also, the cupper plates on the bottom, is tat nessisary? How much of a difference does it actually make? Thanks.

Sure, its the little white connector that hooks the lights up to the arrow from inside the pad

also, can you move the white block with the BNS Metal Pad (not Fusion)? isnt the BNS Metal Pad like a TX-1000 but with polycarbonate buttons and better soldering?

Bump. I'm desperate for answers.

For modding a TX 1000/2000, after lifting up the arrow and pushing in the little white box, I need copper sheet metal to replace the aluminum foil underneath the arrow panel for greater sensitivity. I just have questions and if you don't know all the answers just tell me the ones you know.

http://www.ddrfreak.com/phpBB2/viewtopic.php?t=102167

(copy and paste the questions then write your answer underneath)

What kind of copper sheet metal?

Where could I buy copper sheet metal in the US? Home Depot?

How thick is the sheet metal?

How big are the strips that go under the arrow?

How would I apply them to the bottom of the arrow?

If anyone has the answers please reply or PM me.
