Hey, I'm new here, but not new to ddr. Any way, I have a question. Where can I buy metal arrows. A link would be nice. |

I've never seen metal arrows, do you mean arrows for a metal pad? Do you have an arcade pad or a metal one off eBay or from fry's or something? _________________

I am building a metal pad. I need metal arrows (similar to iON's design) to make sure they do not crack.

does that mean there is an answer there? or does that mean I should ask there? |

It can be both. Try searching around the Bemani Controller forums first to see whether or not your question has already been asked; and if you don't find what you are looking for, create your topic there. You will get alot more responses in the Bemani Controllers forum than in DDR Chit-Chat. _________________

He wants you to ask there. I haven't seen iON's design so I don't know how well that would work, but since you are custom building your pad I would recommend just using the arcade arrows. I have never seen one of these crack so I think you would be pretty safe there. You can buy them 4 at a time from channelbeat for 10 bucks a piece ( http://www.channelbeat.com/products/parts/dance_dance_revolution_parts/117.html ), but you have to make a minimim order of $200 or $250 I think. So if you needed anything else you could get it as well. Or you could try to find them elsewhere, or just make your own using the same materials. Keep in mind too that channelbeat is not the greatest of places to buy from... _________________

Well, Im trying to avoid plexiglass. I think they don't crack because they don't have people stomping on them hours a day on heavy. Also, I had a bluespark pad before (horrible, lasted 6 months before breaking, )
I think i'll take XMaxX's advice and create a new topic in bemani controllers forum.
edit: nevermind, I cannot create multiple topics in a day. |

PM a mod and they can move it for you. And umm, what do you think arcades do, have people NOT play them? The one I go to is open 12 or more hours every day and there is almost always a line. The arrows have been there since before I started playing, 5 years ago, and none of them have ever seen a crack. Trust me, they get plenty of getting stomped on...
But whatever, you're the one playing on it not me _________________

lexan panels will not break or crack, CF sells them, though there are no designs on them, you can buy those as well or print them out
