|
|
Allright, up 'till now, I've been playing ITG and DDR on home systems and have fairly good scores. With the arrival of a new ITG machine, I finally get my chance to play on a good arcade system (One that's not the crappy 4th mix solo machine) I have a pair of fairly worn skater shoes. Are these gonna be okay? _________________

Also, make sure they don't weigh a lot. _________________

Umm... Hasn't this topic already been made?
Anyways, if they are comfortable and not too heavy, they'll be fine. _________________

Stuff that's old: wear comfy shoes. If you can play well and not die then you're good. If you die then that's bad.
Stuff that's new(ish): Try different styles of shoes. Sneakers aren't the only things that are out there. I've gone from sneakers to workboots to Oxfords (spiffy) and I've found that the different styles and weights offer differrent attributes. Right now I'm with my Oxfords and I find them to be more comfy than my sneakers and more stylish than my workboots. Another thing you want to check up on is how well the shoes slide on the pad: grip can affect how well you turn and how annoying you will be to other people (via the -squeaks- coming from you shoes).
Hey, maybe we can compile a list of attributes to check on shoes and make a sticky so people can get their answers for less looking. _________________

I always go hardcore tennis shoes like K-Swiss, the really light ones and tie them tight like a mother.
I also know a guy who uses Pumas and that should be sweet
There was these goodyear driving shoes a friend of mine had that were sorta puma-ish, if you can find those they would probably kick. _________________

pumas are the best for ddr. period.
except i still like playing in bare feet the best because im weird like that. or flip-flops because they sound awesome when you play(they hit the arrows twice usually).
I was also thinking about getting a pair of wooden shoes for DDR, but thought those might not be good for the machine . _________________
