what is up with the search feature?

I try to search for a topic by checking : Search for any terms or use query as entered, and it doesn't work. Keep freezing.


When I use: Search for all terms , then it works.

No, it's not weird. When you pick "search for any terms", it'll do just that, finding any pages that contain ANY of the words you entered. If your search contains words like "ddr" or "the", it's going to find a very large number of posts, which explains the delay/timeout.

And of course, "search for all terms" narrows down the number of results immensely.
