I'm not surprised at all. As a 14 year-old, you seem pretty average. My friend's 14 years old and he weighs 173 lbs. and he's one of the best athletes in the class. Anybody can be physically fit.

I'm 15 and 135-140 pounds I believe. But I could be wrong. I don't have a working scale in my house, so the only time I get an accurate weight is when I go to the doctor, and I haven't been in a while. What's weird is that I'm playing DDR more now than ever before but I feel like I'm gaining weight. frown.gif

17 - 245lbs. I'm a fat Ass but it still doesn't keep me from playing Max300 or other stuff. I think it all depends on the muscle/fat ratio. I have very strong legs which helps me for fast songs like Max300. Stamina on the other hand is terrible. After i play max300 i about have a heart attack but as soon as I get a double cheeseburger from McD's the heart stops hurting. Daddy needs his drug...

I'm 12 years old and I weigh around 100 lbs. I haven't weighed myself in a little while though, so I'm not completley sure.
Being young and not overweight really helps me move faster and smoother when I'm doing hard songs.

i'm 16 and i weigh 245 pounds, which is slightly overweight for my height (6'9"). most of being able to pass hard songs is just stepping efficiently. which is why a physically fit (but unskilled) player could be floored by a song like so deep, that i can pass without a problem.

I'm 16, almost 17, and weigh roughly 5'11", 185 pounds. I can play standard.

As for the stereotype that fat people cant do it, I typically see that heavy people can do it quite well.

I'm just awkward, most people my size can't play.

17, Height:6'0"
Weight: 125 lbs.
I can beat all songs on Heavy Singles consistantly
(Aside from PSMO, hit or miss), but suck at doubles (8's only). For the idea of heavier people having a harder time playing, my endurance sucks and i'm slim, but i've seen many heavier people play 10's and not break a sweat.

People think that fat people can't move very fast. I started playing ddr when I was 17 and weigh 350lbs.

So, yeah fat people can play ddr. I now weigh 215lbs. But I want to weigh 180. Duno why.

Edit : BTW, people think that fat people will break the pad....

Might as well add something to this thread.

Age: 28
height: 5'3"
Weight: 160

The last time I looked in the mirror I didn't see a fat person staring back. I'm pretty athletic. I'm a runner and table tennis player. So I don't need DDR to stay in shape. I'm currently training for a marathon.

I can do anything except PSMO. I'm not saying that the 10s weren't hard at first, but I got them down and most of them are just cake. So stamina has never been an issue for me unless I'm playing ITG. DDR has become so easy. The only mode that is still a challange for me in DDR are those danm oni courses. Curse you demon road 1 and 2.

Edit: OMGWTFDIE, you are completely correct, but the coordination thing is thrown right out the window, because most people bar rape. I don't, but waaaay too many people do.

I'm 18 and 215, and I can beat most people on this forum. It has more to do with form, coordination, concentration, and experience. Besides, what does the age to weight ratio have anything to do with it? It's the height to weight ratio that matters.

And the "Fat people can't move as fast..." stereotype isn't a stereotype...fat people aren't as physically fit as people that are in shape. It's not an insult or an opinion, it's a fact.

Yeah but fat people can play ddr but not fast. It took me long time to get to heavy. But we can still play light or beginner mode.
