--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

This darn pad! After only a month of having it, it totally screws up. It doesn't wear out the pads...they are going super-sensitive on me! If I stand in the center, it will hit one of the arrows, and it seems to be a different arrow every day. You cannot imagine how annoying this is...I can barely pick a song!

Some days it is fine, and some days it is crazy! Right now for example, whenever I hit left on the menu, it goes up and down really fast. When it registers as right when you hit left, THATS A BAD SIGN.

I have some DDR GAME pad. It's supposed to be the normal one except the anti-slip version. It looks really wierd...the edges curl up a bit...

Anyway, any suggestions? I'll buy a new pad if I want to, and if I need to, any suggested brand?

Thanks. ^.^

Thats why! Alright, your pad sucks. There is nothing you can do but get a new pad, as I've had this problem with every one of the 5 softpads I've went through. Now go buy yourself a nice foam pad, or a metal pad or something.

when I had a pad that did that, I would step off the pad, and select songs with the left arrow.

It's a soft pad...they do that. After a while the sensors begin to slide and move around on the inside and things bunch up in there. The best description I've ever heard of a soft pad is "...sensitive circuitry stuffed in a sandwich bag and expected to last with people stomping on it." You're probably gonna need a new one.

As for brands, if you are looking for another soft pad, I've had good luck with the Naki DPR2 pads, but even they wear out after a while. There are various techniques for modding soft pads to make them last longer, and you can find that info scattered about in other threads here.

If you want to go with a different type of pad, then there's a whole new discussion to open and you can also find info about many other types around here.

PS. I suggest Cobalt Flux, but that's a pretty big leap from a soft pad, and rather expensive too.
