Not sure if someone else already started this but....
What needs to be in Guitar Hero 2
----------------------------------------
A button for left handed players to start with. It's annoying having to exit out and change from right to left and vise-versa
More songs (duh)
Maybe non-stop mode (yes I know it's been done to death)
How about a four player mode
BE ABLE TO PLAY ON DIFFERENT DIFFICULTIES (2-player mode, 4 player mode) _________________

They need to team up w/ Konami, just like Karioke Revolution Party. It'd be Guitar Hero Freaks! |

Metallica - One (probably won't happen, since Metallica are hard to license ANYTHING from, but I think this song would be the winner)
System Of A Down - Sugar (or BYOB, either/or)
Slipknot - I Am Hated (Harmonix already has the license from Amplitude, so why not?)
Crash - Dignity (yeah right)
Alien Ant Farm - Smooth Criminal
No Doubt - Ex-Girlfriend
Reel Big Fish - She Has A Girlfriend Now (We all know GH needs more ska)
Beastie Boys - Fight For Your Right (To Party)
Dave Matthews Band - #41
Staind - Outside (would probably be easy, but fun)
I could name lots more, but if those were the only ten songs an expansion had, I'd buy it.
And it bears saying that if they can't cover a song right(I'm looking at you, Stellar), they should bite the bullet and not use it in the game.
Or license it. (I'm no fan of Black Label Society, but at least it's their recording of it.) _________________

They need to get rid of that screeching sound that plays whenever you mess up, and let us play around without getting our gauges raped in empty measures, beginnings, etc. |

from the quote
JT: We could probably go on forever with this kind of game. The back catalog of music is immense and we went with a general rule for Guitar Hero. The rule was that we only used one song per artist. We often had a choice between a couple of very good songs and went with just the one that a particular majority was in favor of.
Expansion packs are tricky because uncompressed the data files are quite large. All of the music is digitized real music and the PS2 is completely pushed to its limits in terms of CPU time. With multiple streams coming from the DVD drive and the processors maxed out, it leaves very little left over.
SCEA doesn't like what SCEJ calls "append disks" where it's just a disk with more data files for content. They like to see completely stand alone disks.
Right now the PS2 has a very small installed user base for the Hard Drive and this is maybe the biggest issue. Until we bring it to another platform with built in mass storage, we can't do any downloadables.
Another area that I think that we only began to touch with Guitar Hero was the "indie rock" scene. The response to the unlock songs has been tremendous. Often people have one of those songs as their favorite in the game because it's not completely played to death and it feels fresh to them.
intresting.. seems GH could be headed to X-Box _________________

What about bands with musical talent? | I'm sorry, but I thought Mezmerize was quite possibly the best rock album in years. And lots of people think so too. Which means they have musical talent.

Other than that it is previously licensed, I don't see a reason to choose this. There are much better Slipknot songs IMO, like Vermillion and Wait And Bleed.
What does GH2 need? Rhapsody, of course. Everyone loves Rhapsody, right..? Imagine playing the rhythm guitar from Unholy Warcry...
And My Chemical Romance <3 _________________

The game needs better songs/artists, lose the stupid 3d characters in the backgrounds and replace them with nice visuals. And for god sakes, ADD AN OPTION TO CHANGE THE BUTTON CONFIGURATION! Do they think NO ONE will play with the ps2 controller?? Idiots. No wonder this game can't even lick one of guitar freaks balls. _________________

I just think that a game about playing guitar should feature songs by bands with great average guitarists. Most of the songs on GH are actually easier to play on a real guitar than they are on the game. Thats how bad it is. _________________

Keep in mind, Harmonix are a local company if there ever was one. They love pimping out Boston. Notice most of the indie bands are from that area, or have members of Harmonix in the band's lineup.
And I'm sure you don't include Freezepop in that category, because them's fighting words in these parts. :P _________________

He better not! I'LL KILL THAT BASTARD!
We should start a freezepop cult.
Yeah, we need MCR, Green Day, SOAD, and ZONK. And definently a practice mode. _________________
