I mean, we don't see Boys, or Strictly Business, or Tubthumping (this was a license, so my guess they don't have the license to this anymore), or The Race anymore! Did Benami just stop caring for them? I've never heard them cuz I joined the DDR bandwagon at EX.

People just didn't like them.
Why do you think all the other old songs like Trip Machine, Captain Jack, Butterfly, etc made it this far?

Cuz Naoki & other DDR contributors own those songs & want them in the future & they're hard? But if people don't like them, why do we still have songs like Silent Hill?

Because 9/10 DDR players have never played the songs, heard the songs, or even heard of the bands (Captain Jack and Smile DK) Note that I said 'DDR players' and not 'DDR players who are DDRFreak members' These songs were probably dropped in favor of more current liscenses. Songs like Silent Hill and Naoki stuff are a different category. Bemani owns them and will probably include them in games they make for a long time.

I remember it was in 5th mix, and I doubt it was reused for the Max mixes (or Extreme, for that matter).

Same here. The only way I can play it is through Stepmania. frust.gif

It was also on DDR Party Collection.

The only truely obsolete DDR song to me is Stricty Business, as it only appears on the old and seldom DDR 1st Mix JP. At least you can still play Boys, Tubthumping, and The Race if there's a 4th Mix nearby (and there usually is, considering that the DDR Solo Machines are never going to be replaced like most of the regular ones did).

"So Many Men" was on DDR USA arcade. I wonder why that song never made it into home version.

I think it will be on another new mix IMO.
Silent Hill was on DDR USA, later it was on DDR MAX US Home Version.

Fans didn't like the songs and that is why they are never brought back? I dont think so. I think it has to do with money/licensing issues and that's it.
