Don't underestimate girl DDR players!

I've heard a lot of people say "girls can't play DDR" or "they cant play as well as guys can".

that's completely untrue. I can beat guys at DDR. I'm not the best player but their are a lot of girls who are really good.

Hey, I got no problems with girls who play ddr/itg, I have had my butt handed to me on more than one occassion. I've played in two itg2 tournaments and have have lost out to both of them to two different female players. Our matches are always close, we're always off by 1 or two percent, but under no circumstances do I look down to the opposite sex in terms of playing itg and ddr.

The females of our group are definetely improving incredibly fast, but still the majority of the best ddr players in our group are all guys but I can see one of the girls in my group making a jump to elite players in the city relatively quickly.

Just one question out of curiosity I've heard of who are probably the best male ddr players in north america and japan, but I've always wondered just from people's knowledge about ddr and itg, who are some the best females ddr/itg players that are known world wide in terms of skill and accuracy in japan and north america.

I've brought one of my female friends who kicks buttocks at the game to the arcade with me, while I was wearing one of my DDR shirts...she owned me...
Everyone was tellin me to take off the shirt afterwards, xD.

But seriously, I respect female players. I mean, there's not nearly as many as male players, but that's all the more reason why we should all encourage girls who like the game.

Oh, and by the way. Most of the time, when you see "girls can't play ddr" it's sarcasm...gotta be careful for that on these forums, lol.

I asked my friend cara who's been playing for about as long as me (3-4 months) why she wants to stay on standard, and she said "Because it's fun for me that way" Just because girls don't AAA songs left and right doesnt mean its not possible. From what I've noticed (i may be entirely wrong, but this is just what It seems to me) Girls just want to have fun, and they dont try to show off, and when they find whats fun, they'll stick to it , while most guys (including me) sometimes can't be satisfied with their own performance until they AAA Max Unlimited or something. If ANYONE pushes themselves, they'll become better, no matter what gender. Guys just tend to push themselves more, and sometimes temporarily lose sight of the FUN of DDR to get better, while some girls don't want to give up that fun at all , so they stick to where they are. Heck, my 9 year old cousin nikki is on standard already, and she got on standard about a month quicker than I did when i learned. Haha

Girls can be as good or better than guys, if they choose to be

Girls can be good but I have only seen like 6 girls in my entire arcade experience (about 2 years). Most of them were playing on Heavy though.
