I haven't been here for a while, and I haven't been able to keep up with whats going on. A while ago, I bought an Ignition 3.0 and found out it was crap. I came here and found out they all were crap. Has RedOctane fixed the problems with it yet? I was thinking about getting another but I wasn't sure if I should. Thanks for helping guys.

Then shouldn't they make their products better so more people will buy? BTW, I think the problem is the foam insert being too big. Oh well. Maybe I'll save for a Cobalt Flux ^^

I disagree. I play DDR 9s and 10s and have had a 3.0 for about 4 months (give or take a week of course) and it still works perfectly. My old 2.0 lasted a year. Either I am extremely lucky, I have an odd style of playing, or people are just too hard on their pads, because I have never had a problem with an RO product...

Hm. When I still had mine, I also noticed that the plastic peices slid around inside the pad. Does this happen to you?

The foam isn't too big, the pad casing is. There's way too much slack between the pad and the foam.

Mine lasted for a week before I gutted and modded it, a few months after that before I stripped it for parts and made my own metal pad.

Thats cool ^^
Oh, is that why? Well when I get $100 again, I'll buy another and see how it is. If it doesn't work right again I'll return it. Getting $100 could be hard though. I don't know how, but all my money manages to get stuck in my bowling ally's DDR EXTREME. It happens every time I get more money.

You know what you should do?
Save your money and buy a cobalt flux

Fortuneately, I share the exact same story, except throw some ITG 12's and 13 attempts in there and you've got a deal.

Thats a bit of a n00bish post. Could you tell me what brand of pad you used? And why does RedOctane suck? So far the only dissapointment I've had with one of their products was the Ignition 3.0.

No, its not just the 3.0, its the afterburner too. Boy do i have a story to tell about the afterburner.

One of my friends got one around christmas of 2005, he was all excited and it worked great for a good 3 weeks. Then one day it randomly wouldn't work. No idea why, everything seemed fine, but then we looked and saw that the input for the control box cord was all frick up. Don't know how that happened, but it is. So, he calls up redoctane and they say they'll send him one of the forms to put on the box to send it back. One month later and he still hasnt gotten it, so he calls them again and they say "they're out of the forms" about 2 weeks later he finally got one, and sent it back. But redoctane keeps sending him these goddamn forms. I don't know if they've stopped yet, but he has about 20.

So he sends it back maybe mid febuary. Still no new dance pad.

he got screwed off the redoctane big time.

Our new theory? frick redoctane. frick everything they make.

We're boycotting and not buying anything redoctane. Even though i liked ITG, i won't play it because he got totally raped off redoctane.

And heres my sad story. I got a 3.0 for christmas. This was during a time when i was in need for another dance pad. So i hooked it up, only to find the foam was too small and the down arrow didnt work. So i took it back to best buy(the good thing was we got it from a store) and got another. Same song and dance with this pad. So i decided ill give them one more chance. This one worked fine...for about 10 days! then it frick out. So i took it back, got store credit for what i paid, and picked up we love katamari and some anime.

We hate redoctane. We love katamari. We love DDR. We hate ITG.

Get with the program and help start the Dance Revolution; a redoctane free world full of japanese imports and good dance pads!
