how can you play SM using your tv as the screen? 
What cable do i have to buy or what is needed?  |

You need a TV out plug at your Video card, almost all cards have these. They usually have cinch or s-video plugs.
Then just go to walmart or whatever and ask for such a cable. They should have cables with a Scart Connector on one end and an audio and cinch/s-video connector at the other one. |

Well, if you grab an xbox, you can do two things:
Get the stepmania xbox executable and run that
OR
Get XBox linux and run stepmania from there
Both ways get it all on to your sexy tv
Oh yeah, if you are really going to follow what i did, i suggest you buy a used xbox.
