|
|
I'm going to start wiring my own homepad soon, and I was wondering if it mattered what type of wire I used?
I'm not sure what gauge the wire I have is, but I know it's definitely shielded. I could always check the receipt, but I remember I chose the wire that looked most like a PS2 controller's wire (to me at least ) |

Lol. I bet you are doing almost the exact same thing as me. I was the one who gave you riptides vids. Get phone wire, as he says in the videos. It has 6 strands. You can get it at home depot for... i think I payed 5$. 1 more thing. What kind of controller are you using to solder to, and could you help me with the soldering? Do I simply solder 1 of the 2 wires in each arrow to the gold dot kinda near the corresponding arrow, and then eventually solder all the ground wires to the common ground? And where the flip is the common ground?!?! _________________

CAT5 has 8 (?) wires and you really only need 5
the telephone wire would work, but not all telephone wire has 5+ strands (the kind i had around the house only had 4 strands) _________________
