Well, I love stepmania (even though I can't use it) and I am in love with Guitar Hero. So why not create a simulator for Guitar Hero?

I had actually had a pretty good basis for how the simulator could run but I am not too far in coding yet to do much of anything. So maybe ccan grasp these concepts and work on them. I can do the graphics if needed happy.gif.

Okay, here it goes.

THE BASE:
A Simple concept really.

Start song
If both note and strum bar strummed at same time Played At Great or Higher Rating, then continue music.

If both note and strum bar strummed at same time played at good or lower rating, then mute and replace with bleep for {} and then continue music

Thats it. Or, you can do the following:

Have a seperate track with guitar and replace with a mute/bleep for {} if played incorrectly and then continue guitar track.

Vocals and other music continue throughout duration

As for edit function, I recommend this:
Let song run and as song runs, when strummed, mark position.
