I got a "Trio Linker" PS2 (and Gamecube, and Dreamcast) to USB converter. Unfortunately it really sucks. Followed the instatllation instructions, Windows recognised it and it worked. Still, the software is a joke and the thing worked once, then stopped working. Period. Nothing happens when I plug it into any ports on my computer. I'm planning on returning it soon.

I'm curious if anyone has reccomendations for any other PS2 to USB devices out there.

The Something Joybox 2.0, if I'm not mistaken.

Looks like a blue arrow tip. It allows for two players at the same time, AND it's quite responsive. I don't use mine anymore because Ignitions (From RO, anyway) come with all three ports, but it was good for my softpad when it still worked.

I have a super dual box pro. Works perfectly. I also use it for playing ROMS with a PS2 controller.

Wrong thread, also. There's a sticky in the simulation forum for this.

Oy.

Low and behold, I did get the damn thing working. The problem had to do with going into the programs - ems trio linker - joypad option, which kinda made the computer realize it was connected.

Plus when you reboot, you gotta make sure the thing is completely done booting before you connect the controller. It's very weird.

Ok, here are a few additional fixes for the Trio Linker.

1. Plug in controller
2. Plug in converter to USB port
3. Grasp the converter in hand
4. Tap it hard against a solid surface

That usually seems to be one way to get the thing to work.

I really wish I was making this up.
