Alright, let me explain this oxymoron....
Today, my friend told me that at Springhill (this camp place that I didn't go to), they had this DDR contest. Now, most of the people (at my youth group) who went that I know are TERRIBLE at DDR, so you know how it turned out. Well, the thing that makes me angry is that the winner was this girl who got a B on Beginner (who I don't know). Now the thing that REALLY made me mad was that the winner got $150. Now, 99% of you (Including me) are thinking "OMG, I could've pwned that n00b!". That's what my friends were saying. He said that they were like "OMG, where's *my real name here*?!?! He would've beaten that girl by a ton!!!" So, yeah. I'm REALLY mad right now......I feel like punching something....

I would feel the same, but then I would be happy for her as she just happened to be at the right place at the right time.

Dude! That REALLY sucks! Why would they have such a large prize for such a crappy tourney?!

Hey, I see nothing wrong with being in the right place at the right time like that. Good for her.

Actually, I think my friend said they had a PS2 & projector. I could've used that $150 for good! I could've bought some DDRs, saved it for my Drivers Training, video games, Action Replay....But I've calmed down alittle after watching the Simpsons....Playing Ex2 really didn't help, though....Next year, I'm going. If they TOLD me they had that there, I would've gone! Maybe I'll send a video of me doing a Standard song.....Maybe they'll think "GEEZ, we wasted $150 on that girl!?! This kid SO deserves that money more! After all, look at him! He's better, & he's over-weight for a 14-year-old! He must be over 210 at the LEAST!!"

She won with a B on beginner. Let me guess, they were playing MAX1/2 and going by points. I wonder why no one could beat her - perhaps they either sucked or though they could play and did standard or something stupid like that. Only on the PS2 can a B yield more points than an A, and only on the PS2 can beginner mode result in the high score. If you want to run a PS2 tournament you really have to use '10K commotion' scoring and ignore the game's half-assed attempt at an evaluation.

Hmmm... Was this on a home version, because no arcade mix has different grade for all Marvelous vs. Perfect.

Oh wait, nevermind.

Yeah, you could've used that $150... like ANYONE HERE! And I'm pretty sure that this girl is really REALLY happy right now... Much more happy than you could have been!

Take it the other way around... You're going to a tournament with friends about your level but you know John, who is SO MUCH better than all of you... and always win all the tourney. Upon arriving, you find out that John is not there! The tournament goes on and YOU win it! Do you deserve your first place? Should John be mad at you? Is that tournament meaningless and stupid?

Complaning, or even punching things won't changes events...

Just be there next time!
