Widescreen....Is it just me?

I just got a laptop with a 15.4" WXGA screen. It it just me, or does Stepmania just feel really weird and distorted on a widescreen display? For some reason, it just feels really awkward. The scrolling also seems to be a little different as well. Will this go away as I become more used to the screen?

Since you have a wide screen, the arrows will seem a bit more spread (not in spacing, but the things themselves). This will adjust with time. It's just the screen ratio. If you play it enough, you'll become used to it.
