Ok, now I've seen bootleg DDR systems, like Megamix and other things like that. Has anyone ever seen any bootlegged Beatmania systems or other games from the Bemani series? Do they exist? |

I don't think I've ever seen a bm bootleg before. Konami did make Hip hop Mania which is the american beatmania 5 key s arcade. _________________

...and the Korean versions of BM is Beatstage.
Otherwise, there really was never much of a point in bootlegging Beatmania. The hardware is relatively inexpensive anyway, and since it doesn't run off of a disc-based media and although bootleggers could most definitely do it now...who would care?
Besides the fans of course, which there aren't much of. They'd rather play IIDX. _________________

So it's pretty much really hard if not impossible to make bootleg upgrades for IIDX machines either, right? |

It doesn't quite count because it uses a different cabinet, but there IS a third-party 5-key Beatmania that I remember being actually somewhat fun. It was called "Beat Player 2000," and it had some interesting song choices like "My Oh My" and the theme from Ghostbusters.
As for IIDX... I wish. _________________

3rd party what?
You mean another company making 5-key DJ simulation games? Of course there are. What do you think EZ2DJ is? _________________

No, I'm not talking about for the PC. I mean it was an arcade unit suspiciously like Beatmania.
You can find it at klov.com . _________________

ez2dj is for the arcade.
Again, there's plenty of ARCADE DJ simulators out there that resemble Beatmania, just like there's other companies that'll make dancing games that resemble DDR.
There is no "third party" for arcade games unless you're referring to a proprietary board (like System 573), in which another company besides Konami develops for that same board. _________________

It wouldn't be too hard to make a BM MAME powered machine, considering that the DJMain board has been MAME'd properly. |

The arcade around here used to have a Beatmania Complete Mix that looked awfully fishy. It was completely in English, and yet it was still called Beatmania, not Hip Hop Mania or Beat Stage. Also, the All Music code never worked once on that thing.

Erm... Japanese 3rd mix and 4th mix where completely in english (DDR). Why not Beatmania? _________________
