Playing Stepmania with S-video help

okay, I just got me a new computor to use only for stepmania (I like to call it my SM DediCom ). I hooked it to my TV via S-video and it seems to lag. it doesnt match the music right. how can I fix this?

Another problem I have is that my pad doesn't register fast enough, I was able to ignore the lag on the tv and just play to the music, but the pad missed one out of evry 4 or so. I think it might be a problem with the USB ports.

You can go to the stepmania.INI file in the stepmania data folder,
do a CTRL-F for GlobalOffsetSeconds

and just adjust that little by little until it works, also I think you can do negitive numbers.

does anyone know how to check the usb ports? i dont know what kind i have. i think it's 2.0 but not sure. and also what is the best kind of usb prot out there?
