The only guys I know who play this game are gay

Yeah, that's what these 2 girls said to me and my friend were playing ddr today. It kinda pissed me off. Do you guys think that alot of people think that ddr players are retarded or gay , or do you think that's just a small majority? I mean, I guess it kinda pissed me off when they told us that. They were like "you guys play that game way too much". Usually that means that they think I am really good. But today it meant that ddr is gay. Well, I think that a majority of the people think it's really cool, cause I get a giant crowd when i play itg2 at eliches.

What do you think a majority people think of us DDRers? Do you think they think it's awsome or gay? discuss

I haven't met anybody who hates DDR. Seems very odd. All of the people I come across are either astonished or in love with DDR.

Where I'm from, peoples' stance on DDR is neutral to negative. They usually say it's 'gay,' or they satirize it. But you should try to ignore such people, because they usually have unintelligent and unjustifiable opinions. Yeah sure, they're allowed to think stepping on arrows is lame, but it pertains nothing to one's sexual orientation. Besides, they're two girls. Do you really want to be belitted by two girls?

Also, DDR isn't the only thing considered 'lame' by many people. Being in the arcade suffices as being 'lame' by the exact same people.

ive had much experience with this. lets see....for english, we had to write about a memorable experience. I wrote about the first time i played DDR. it was one hell of a paper(i got an A, have you mind), but got much negative feedback. There's this kid who went up to me and went "that games gay, why would you ever play that?" and i noticed he had a GTA strategy guide and i decided it would be fun just to piss him off and said "well, have fun becoming a fatass virgin that no one likes wasting your life away playing GTA. Im sure people applaud you while you shoot hookers, dont they?" then walked away, proudly, in my homemade DDR t-shirt.

The point is, people are so ignorant, they won't even give the game a chance. They look at it and decide "its gay." and then you get the people who play, suck buttocks, and decide the game sucks. I hate people who don't give things a chance. I can't stand it.

if i had a dollar for everytime i have been called gay for showing DDR pride, i would be rich.

The majority of the people, in my opinion, are nuetral about DDR. The people who bash the players are people who either suck, want to be 'cool', or want to show-off to their friends that they could insult somone. Those people decide that the game's gay and won't look at it a second time because the J-pop pouring out of the machine while some random beginner plays it really shows how 'gay' the game is. Now, if I could only challenge one of these idiots and whoop him/her with some random 9's or 10's

This guy ask me to play ddr with her gf. So I guess some people think the game is cool or just gay.

Anyway.... Just ignoring them and you will be fine.

If your still worry about it. Play ddr with a guy friend or girl friend.

So people dont call you gay anymore.

People are dumb. And by people, I mean the person that started this thread. Nowadays, when the teen crowd doesn't like something, they'll call it "gay." It's not because they literally think it's homosexual, it's because they think they're stupid and "gay" is just their way of saying it.

And they're right. Unless you can AA (or A) the song you're playing, you're gonna look dumb and awkward playing DDR.

That's kind of like when I was at my friends house. He had some of his other friends over. I wanted to play DDR. They were like "Dude! What are you doing!? That's a girl's game!" No matter how much I argued, even the girls were conviced it was a girl's game.
