Right, if anyone knows how the E-Amuse NETWORK system works please can they break it down for me?
Heres what I think the setup it uses. I think it uses an arcades static IP address, and then the machines own credentials (login/pass? Serial No? MAC address?) to access the Konami E-Amuse network.
I was wondering how an arcade is blacklisted from Konami's future distribution by exporting games, and if this was how they did it.
If you were to somehow use a proxy server in a Japanese arcade, to make it look like (on the network) that machine was still in Japan, and obscured the serial number (or even removed it) on the machine so that it couldn't be reported by someone if it were in a foreign arcade, could it be possible to run E-Amuse enabled machines outside of Japan? This would mean things like Gitado Tower and Pop'n Taisen would still work as well as regular rankings.
Help would be much appreciated |

You mean something along the lines of conspiring with a Japanese arcade to set up a VPN that'll let you basically extend their network to the US arcade so any eAmuse machines in the states as if they were in Japan? |

For foreign arcade,I think you don't really have to get a proxy server?Actually,a lot of arcade in Hong Kong/Taiwan using the e-amuse system too.
The major problem on e-amuse in US probably will be:
1.Difficult to set up the network in arcade
2.Expensive monthly payment |

Someone talked about this before, Konami might find it funny that the peak hours of play time of the machine are the exact opposite of other machines.in Japan _________________

I was told that Konami of Japan (at least in Japan, dunno about Asia) sends a rep to confirm the location of a machine (since you can't exactly spoof an arcade address).
I hear that's one reason why even though Arcade Infinity in L.A. has a IIDX machine with e-amuse and a network, they can't register for it. _________________

Yes,they'll
Because when you set up for e-amuse,you also need to sign up an additional contact with Konami for server service. |
