afterburner question

allright, so my friend just got a redoctane afterburner, and its sweet, but he doesn't know if it will damage it or not if you wear it with shoes. The pad says WARNING: ALWAYS WEAR SHOES! near the bottom, but hes afraid it will lose its sex appeal if he plays with shoes on and it will ware off the paint on the arrows after seeing a colbalt flux that clearly looks worn at a local LAN gaming center. The thing is, sometimes playing without shoes on the afterburner will hurt your feet if you dont hit the arrows right. So please, someone tell me, does it really hurt the afterburner to play with shoes on?

This should be in the Afterburner thread but oh well.

I use shoes with mine all the time and it looks good enough. Sure there are a few light scuff marks and it does get a little dirty because my shoes aren't too clean, but if you're that paranoid about it you can just clean it off with a wet paper towel

i have to use shoes just because the recessed arrows will cut my feet up. I tried playing with socks once and got a big cut on the side of my toe, and since then I've always worn shoes

i have an afterburner and it looks good. i constantly use it and play nine and 10 step songs. it looks great. whenever its dirty, i use windex and a paper towel and it shines after a cleaning with that stuff. the arrows will get scuffed, but any pads arrows will get scuffed.
